Mister Fellow nodded and put a nickel down on the newsstand counter. ‘That’ll be it, Herb.โ
He picked up the morning edition and gasped. ‘Herb, is this true?โ Mister Fellow showed the clerk the front page headline.

‘When did this happen, Herb? What happened while the world slept?’ Mister Fellowโs eyes ran across the newspaper, taking in more words at once than he could read.
The clerk reached across the counter and snatched the paper out of Mister Fellow’s hands. He dropped it out of sight. Herb laughed, his eyes glancing back and forth. ‘Silly me, that’s tomorrow’s paper. Simple mistake,โ he chuckled. ‘But look at you, sir!’ The clerk pointed at Mr. Fellow and gave a thumbs up. ‘Ahead of the game! Top of the market! Insider information, eh? Mister Fellow? Sir? Sir?โ
But Mister Fellow was already running.
